I’ve almost lost count of the days I spent in
this tiny town.

People says this land is hard,
with the Uranium mines nearby,
highly calcified tap water,
dry land and unseen-able
soil-borne diseases.
This land is theoritically unlivable
even for the aboriginals.
I’ve grown two extreme emotions
towards this town,
one I so bored that I’d
wish I can leave immediately and
one I’m so attached to this place
as I’ve spent such long time
as the one I spent in NZ.
And when I finished my journey here
it would be the longest land
that I stayed in a foreign land.

All this time, this is the place
that I spent time obliging my duties
at workplace, building relationships with
others and immersing myself in some sort of
soul-searching journey that only
comes from solitude.
As the usual me,
I always see and think this world
in a different way,
neither good or bad,
solely just the way I see it.
In my world,
no matter how insignificant,
bad, or bored anything is,
such place, people, books,
movies, stories, music
will always have something
“unique” inside of them.

This,
is unusually magical,
evilish, and unique.
The only way to understand
it is to live on the land and
among them, taste it with
cultural and everyday experiences.

May I present you,
My Halls Creek.ππ
